Recently I've felt like it's time to start writing again. In the past I've written for various blogs and for a while, even hosted one myself. The problem is I've never been consistent. I've written occasionally but never as often as I've liked to. Part of the reason was there were times when I didn't know what to write about.
That brings us to a challenge I've given myself. I've recently felt like I needed to push myself in various areas of my life. I've felt a little too complacent. A little too comfortable. Hence this blog. Starting in Aug, I'm going to force myself to write more. And by more, I mean (hopefully) daily... or at least 5 times a week.
As I've thought about it, I've realized that there is never a shortage of something to write about. A popular vlogger named Casey Neistat said that making vlogs (or blogs) is about finding a story in everyday life and then telling it. There is always something to write about and I want to push myself as a writer to tell the story, even if I don't feel like it.
So, here we go... I am not naive enough to think anyone will read this or subscribe, but this is not about that. If someone benefits from this little project, that's great, but I am really looking forward to seeing how disciplining myself to write daily bears fruit in other areas of my life. How will this change me? How will it discipline me? That's what this is about. So if you do come back, you might read something about a hobby, an aspect of my life, my family, theological reflections, or something on a book I'm reading. I'm really not sure where this will go, but nothing is off the table.
Hope you enjoy!
