I was born into a Mormon household and was raised Mormon. I did all that was taught to me and expected of me. I grew up singing songs about following the "modern day prophet" and going to the Mormon temple. I was baptized in the Mormon church at 8 years old and was ok with everything until I was about 15. At that point, I started going through a very rebellious stage. My parents were strict and my life was structured around performance. I remember thinking "there is no way I can live up to all of this" and so to some extent I stopped trying. On the outside, I looked ok to everyone else, but that was because I just got pretty good at playing the game and hiding everything.
